We provide in-person services in the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth area and serve all of Texas with our robust telehealth care.  The ideal candidate for this position has a heart for working with underserved communities, providing these critical services to children and families from diverse backgrounds impacted by trauma.
 

About the Position:

EmpathyHQ seeks dedicated, fully licensed therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LPC only) to join our team and make a difference. At EmpathyHQ, you’ll enjoy a flexible, incentive-based pay model that empowers you to control your schedule and income. Therapists are compensated based on billable hours, with a base rate for the first 40 hours per pay period and an incentive rate nearly 1.5 times greater for any hours beyond that. Additionally, we provide benefits like PTO, medical insurance, holiday pay, and ongoing CEU opportunities to support your professional growth.  We are looking for in-person therapists, especially those interested in seeing younger populations.

  • Provide weekly individual therapy services, which may include:
    • Completing a comprehensive psychosocial assessment,
    • Assessing the mental and behavioral health status of referred Clients and ensuring that clinical assessments are up to date based on best practice, grant requirements, and agency policies,
    • Identifying patients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g., suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, etc.) and making appropriate referrals to higher levels of care (Emergency, Inpatient, PHP/IOP) as needed,
    • Formulating differential diagnoses of mild to moderate mental health conditions or substance abuse,
    • Using evidenced-based practices and professional counseling standards to provide ongoing psychotherapy / behavioral health counseling with measurable outcomes and goals,
    • Completing discharge planning as needed while monitoring the overall number of sessions.
  • (negotiable) Provide group therapy services (with the support of at least one (1) additional group leader present) on a weekly basis which may include.
  • Complete documentation of all therapeutic services per the requirements of EmpathyHQ and document outcomes for grant funding,
  • Be familiar with using an Electronic Medical Record system
  • Complete outreach to local schools, agencies, community leaders, and other stakeholders about the program and to increase participation,
  • Participate in weekly Therapy Department meetings and quarterly Agency Meetings.
  • Responsible for maintaining licensing requirements for this position
  • Responsible for maintaining professional liability insurance for in-person and telehealth sessions
  • NO Evenings or weekends are required for this position, though some afternoon flexibility IS preferred to meet caseload requirements.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): PTO increases with each year of service, starting at your two-year anniversary and continuing annually, up to 10 years of tenure.
